I thought I was falling off, but I was being pruned.

When your capacity drops, it feels like failure.

Like you're falling behind. Like something is broken.

But what if it's actually an invitation?

I recently found myself in a season where I couldn't sustain my usual pace. My first instinct was to push through. But something deeper was happening—and it took my therapist to help me see it.

Scripture says: "He prunes the branches that bear fruit so they will be even more fruitful." (John 15:2)

These seasons aren't punishments. They're refinement.

But most people respond by pushing harder. And over time, that catches up with them—through burnout, depression, disconnection.

The real question isn't how to get back to your old pace. It's what's being revealed in this season.
